blogging anew
Friday, 20 February 2009

I recently got hooked to sites offering instant money via the internet. Since I spend most of my time online, I am now updating this blog and added some of those a-thousand-click-equals-one-dollar features. This site used to have its own Google Adsense Ads but unfortunately, being a novice myself before, I was not able to set it up right. I believe the pay-per-click features were all credited to another account. Silly me.

Anyway, to those who are usually online, you might try this pay-per-search feature that my peers recently introduced. Special thanks to Mike for coming up with this tool wherein it automates your searches, so one just have to simply run the said application and all one has to do is do your usual daily routine... The best thing with this application is it goes at least a hundred searches a day! Imagine running an application and getting good bucks! Instant money it is! Simply click on the image below to get started.

Earn Money for searching the net!

I am quoting the following from a very good friend of mine, Xiahmi . If ever you got queries about this new feature, feel free to leave a message or comment! Let us go online treasure hunting!

"hi guys,

just found out some cool and productive way of earning through Mike, one of my friends and colleagues at work.. if you are interested, please register in the site below, for faster earning, send me a message how so that i can give you the program Mike wrote

http://www.myhpf.co.uk/apply001.asp?Friend=351861

another way of earning is through google adsense, i have my link in my friendster account, unfortunately, my application in google adsense is still in review, ill just post the link here if it is alreary approved."

weekend escapades
Wednesday, 17 December 2008

It has been ages since i have piled some rubbish into this blog of mine. I have been wanting to spice this up by enumerating all the "enjoying-my-bachelor-days" activities I had for the past months. It had been like a rollercoaster ride - a weekend full of exciting getaways and unraveling revelations. To round them all up, I have organized my thoughts and came up with the usual random thoughts of mine (I think I've been doing this random thing lately...).

Encarquezes at the Fort Pilar Shrine1. Weeklong trip in Zamboanga City, el ciudad Latino de Asia (November 01-09, 2008). After my eleventh month stay here in the metro, my second time to be home finally materialized - home with my dear family and friends, home with my pet dogs, home with my motorbike (i sooo miss them). Thanks to my radiantly beautiful hermana for the round trip tix. Hehehe. Just the thought of going back home makes me so ecstatic. Zamboanga City holds a treasure of a thousand memories. Good thing my weeklong vacation was approved by my boss. I never enjoyed Zamboanga City that much! 'Til my next vacation, come this holidays! I'll be counquering the ciudad latino with my motorbike!

The best ride at Enchanted Kingdom2. An enchanting moment with the Zaraknights (November 15, 2008). Good thing my friend's trip to Manila was cancelled. It would have coincided with my trip in Zamboanga. Though I know my stay in Zamboanga would be great, it would be better if I could also go with my friends at Enchanted Kingdom. Luck must have been on my side since his trip was postponed and he will be here after my weeklong vacation! And then we, high schools buds here in the metro, decided to invade Enchanted Kingdom and unleash our childishness with its purely-fun rides. We really enjoyed that moment! We never thought, after eight long years of zero-communication, we would still have that same old fun and feeling and still reminisce our good old days! Zaraknights forever!

Puerto Galera, we heart!3. Puerto Galera with the Beergins a.k.a Power Rangers (November 22-23, 2008). It was supposed to be a surprise treat for Dyne's birthday. We were supposed to spend our night at some resort in Laguna, but then, Dynes did her usual "some-body-part-of-mine-aches" or "i-will-be-out-today-with-my-family" reasons. Frustrations rised, and we finally decided to go to Puerto Galera, and totally ignored her birthday! Hahaha. Thanks to James and Al, the two ampled and gallant friends of ours, the trip was a huge success. I never thought i would love Galera. It was a good time to reflect. I just loved lying on the sand and watching all the stars twinkling above a cloudless sky. It was indeed surreal! Add up the rhythmic sounds of the crickets and the murmuring waves. Nature really at its best!

The majestic Ilocos windmills!4. Ilocandiaventures (November 29 - December 1, 2008). I was not really keen (at first) on having a long road trip to the vast land of Ilocandia. But then, my peers were so persistent, flagging our stressful itinerary that we will be invading Ilocos - three vast places, Laoag, Pagudpud and Vigan, compacted in an itinerary of three days! Damn. Good thing the picturesque views and breathtaking sceneries of the Ilocos region seized all our weariness and misery. Among the three, I so love Pagudpud. I love the beach, the sand, the sunset and those gigantic windmills! It was an awesome experience, that's all I can say. Definitely, I'll be back to Pagudpud. One of these days... I promise.

We just dig clubbing!5. Dream come true at the Alchemy (December 13, 2008). I was never a party guy. I guess... Mara, the dudette, just unleashed the party spirit in me. Hahaha. Or maybe that spirit was really in me? Fine, I admit it. I enjoy clubbing. Watching all the girls in dresses just make me drool, literally! And the dance moves I only show off on selected dance floors, enjoying the electronic/rnb beats, are just so not me. Hahaha. Anyway, that night was part of our "must-do" list when we will be in the metro - clubbing on high-end bars, and wearing our party getaway outfits. Damn. I could say moments like that would be superb! 'Til our next clubbing, dudette!

6. I just love The Script's The Man Who Can't Be Moved. It really defines the whole me. Add up the recent hype with that of the Twilight Saga, my romantically helpless lovelife just blossomed. Hahaha. I need not say more. As long as I am in cloud nine, Iwould not ask for more!

P.S. Special thanks to Tiborxia! Hahaha. You just made my day! Damn those revelations. And you inspired me to update my blog. I thank thee. Should I reveal who you are? I just can't stop grinning when your blog (with all those smileys) crosse my mind. Peace out, Choy!

hooked at fully booked
Monday, 29 September 2008
Do I dislike reading? Nah...I honestly thought I dislike reading… Maybe that is one of the drawbacks of being exaggeratedly inclined with the engineering field. Hehehe. But nah. I don’t really blame my profession for my being abhorrent on books. I knew some friends, engineers by profession and are technically savvy too, who consider reading as a recreation. Maybe it is just me... Or maybe it is just the “slothful” part of me. Hehehe. Reading was also the reason why my career path never shifted to what my family and relatives anticipated me to be – a lawyer or a doctor. Reading is just not part of my scheme, as I saw it before. I hate the usual memorizations, reading analysis and all stuff synonymous to it. I do prefer all those confusing and mind-boggling analytical and complicated word problems Math or Logic could offer. Naks. Because in Math, I do not need to photocopy the well-written-done-overnight “kodigos” (or cheat sheets) of my “cheat”-mates or I just do not need to prepare one, just what I did in college. Hahaha.

Can't get enough of MeyerBut anyway, these past days, I have been absolutely hooked with Stephenie Meyer’s book about the unusual love story between humans and vampires and werewolves (a four-part saga of which I am still reading Twilight, her first book in the series). I know... I just stated a fact that is ultimately contradictory to what I have stressed in the above paragraph (I’ll explain more in the coming parts). And what’s next with Twilight? I have quite a list of books that I am absolutely eager to read. The Secret is on top of my list (as recommended by my radiantly beautiful hermana), then the last two books of the famous HP series (I stopped reading after my interest with HP books waned), then a crime-busting or courtroom drama novel Grisham could offer (the last book of his that I read was the memorable Pelican Brief way back in college), or any books that would set free the bibliophilia within me – may it be a short story, a graphic novel mangas!), a made-only-for-the-children-and-childish book, or anything that is of interest.

And what brings out my interest for these books? I am certainly sure it is not just about the book or its content or how commercially known it is. Definitely, it is the place, the ambiance, the environment, the right mood that matter most when I am in my bookworm state. Does it make any sense? Hehehe. I have been wandering within the metro for the past eight months and I have never been hooked to one perfect place. I never imagined there would be something like this. Or maybe, I was just too naïve not to wander to places like this and actually not to know that this exists. I am talking about Bonifacio High Street’s Fully Booked. I know there are a lot of bookstores offering the same range of stuff. But Fully Booked has just captured and unleashed the sleeping bibliophile in me. A five-story building filled with books of all sort and a read-any-book-you-like-anywhere principle is just so irresistible. Add up the existence of Starbucks – though I have never been there – and the Odyssey-like music lounge where best-selling CDs of some artists are featured on a quite number of listening stations. What more can you ask for? (See images below.)
I can’t blame myself for being there every now and then and making Fully Booked as a pastime lounge. Where can you find a picturesque hang-out these days? Away from the crowded streets… Away from annoying people… Away from the metro’s effluence… That is only at Fully Booked.

P.S. If you need some “quality time” for yourself, away from the above-mentioned nuisance, Bonifacio high Street is definitely the place to be. Two thumbs up!

up and running for the pba!
Friday, 19 September 2008

It has been quite some time since I have updated this blog. After all the fiascos life has given me, I am finally up and alive. Hehe. It just feels so great to be back.

Anyway. I don't know if this post will be the best way for a comeback after my month-long absence in this blog. But I just have to... As soon as I have read a friend's friendster bulletin entry this morning, I decided to post this one. I have planned on posting and casting my vote a number of days before but I just do not have the time and the "mind" resources to do so. And since today is the deadline of the casting of votes for the Philippine Blog Awards (PBA), I really do am hoping this entry would still be counted (fingers crossed). As I have stressed in my previous blog entries, my mind seem to work when the deadliest deadline arrive. Hehehe. So I am casting my vote at this very last minute!

Officially, I am voting for Ryann's blog for the Philippine Blog Award's Best Blog - Technology Category.

So why did I vote for his blog on the said category? Not only that he is a fellow Mindanaoan and a friend, his blog generally caters the technological needs of novice and multimedia enthusiasts. He has not only been promoting graphical and multimedia applications to his students and his Alma Mater but also to all aficionados of these applications (like me!). His constant blog updates, sharing basic tutorials and sample applications, are of great help. I have been into graphics and multimedia applications before but seeing his blog encouraged me more to be "at least" a multimedia artist. Hehehe. Hail to Ryann's blog for those enriching insights! It is truly a site worth visiting.

8 random facts
Friday, 25 July 2008

Got this thing from Multiply, and I absolutely think it would go well with my “Describe Yourself” section of my Friendster (as well as the “About Me” section of my blog). I have enumerated eight random facts that some people might not know about me.

 1. I dislike reading. Period. The above-mentioned books (referring to my Friendster account’s “Favorite Books” section) are the only ones that i have read so far (aside from the textbooks that we were obliged to read in our institutions of course). But I am recently eyeing for Rhonda Byrne’s The Secret. I’ll surely grab a copy one of these days…

2. I honestly think I am not good in English - may it be in writing or in speaking. It has always been one of the lowest marks in my report cards. Hehehe. And about my blog? Most entries were written unconsciously by me - ala Shakespeare controlling the inner me when I am in my deepest slumber... ZzZzZz... Should I say that I am a sleepy dopey too? Hehehe.

El delicioso crispy pata3. They say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. And I absolutely agree, 100% big time! Do I need to expound more? My flabby abs and my cravings for almost every edible food available (of which I individually name them as “my favorites”) would certainly be solid proofs.

4. I do my own laundry. Yes. In my six-month long stay here in the metro, I can proudly say that there was only this ONE occurrence that Nanay Carmen (our sunny landlady) did my laundry. Yes, only once. And that was when my brother added his 13-pound laundry to mine. Hahay…

5. I am a certified crammer in so many ways. There have been countless of times wherein I have been beating the deadliest deadlines when submitting assignments, reports or projects. The creative juices on my mind seem to flow at the very last minute!

6. I am bashful. Hahaha. But sincerely, I am. I may be goofy and loquacious when I am with my closest friends and family, but I am generally aloof when acquainted with strangers. This might be the reason why most people regarded me as a snobbish person - a person held in my own solitary confinement. Little did they know the true me...

 7. I am a nature lover at heart, of which adventure trips on remote places, trekking, sight seeing and the like would be on top of my things-to-do lists. The alluring sunset, the captivating blue lake, the unusual earthlings, the vast sea horizon, the twinkling stars on a clear night sky, the burning hue on every dusk, and the colorful rainbow... All of nature's wonders are just dreamlike!

8. Lastly, I may be the most insensitive person one would know. I am not sure why. Maybe, I am just too inexpressive that most people misunderstood the real me or maybe, I have an intuition that is generally different from the public. I guess, it is just that I usually keep things to myself, and I am certainly not into serious talks wherein one pours out all the dramas life has given us. I am an uberly happy-go-lucky person. “Come what may” is my usual maxim. Life is full of surprises. Better enjoy it and refrain from sobering ourselves with all the discomfort it offers. Carpe diem!
